This data base includes the descendants of ancestors of my wife, including: the Quilter family from Braintree in Essex; the Johnson line from Henley-on-Thames in Oxford; the Pethig line which originated from Lippe, Germany and settled in Whitechapel, London, in the early 1850's to work in sugar refining; the Burl family from Compton, Berks; Edward Sheehan, an army pensioner in London whose father was an Irish labourer; the Lee family from Liston, Essex; and the Murrell family from Hove, Sussex.
The site does not include living people. I have left out sources, but would be happy to answer any queries on where my information has come from. While many family contacts have contributed along the way, I would like to recognise Professor Ron Pethig for his contribution on the early generations of the Pethig line.
